Quê Hương: Haiphong

Haiphong

The city of Haiphong was the second place I visited. It's a much more urbanized and affluent city with similarities to cities in NZ or any other Western country. It's honestly impressive to see a country go through so much strife build itself up so rapidly, and although I only picked a handful of photos, you can see it in the photos of lined houses, that is just one of the many housing developments in Haiphong. It's also somewhat calmer than Hanoi, and that's because it's much more local, so you won't see many tourists.

Do Son Beach

Do Son Beach is very reminiscent of Mission Bay Beach, with the shoreline arcing around the sea and opening onto a vast stretch of water. At Do Son, I ate at a seaside restaurant and had a dinner of crabs, clams, mussels, sea snails, shrimp, and prawns. Afterward, I took a stroll along the seafront, sipped some coconut water, and watched the sun set.
