❮ ❯ You might notice a new face, that piebald kitty is Lily the youngest of the three. The oldest is Lucy (Siamese) we got her around 2021. Then comes the second youngest: Milo (Tabby) we got him around 2022. Finally, the one you now know; the youngest: Lily (Grey and White Tabby) we got her around 2024. I knew when a got a camera I wanted to take a photo of my cats and oh boy did I take photos. That photo of Lily is the second photo I ever took and it was on a whim. I just wanted to take an average cat photo but I noticed how perfect photo was. So I decided to take a portrait photo of the other two and they are so cool, they're faces and emotions encapsulate their personalities perfectly. Lily is probably the most adorable of the three. She has such a cute face, and to top it off, she's very affectionate and playful. But don’t let that deceive you — she’s also a bit of a little demon. She chases the other cats, picks fights, bites and scrat...

This is the first photo I ever took with a digital camera. It's heavily edited to evoke a dreamlike, ethereal aesthetic. I wanted my first photograph to be meaningful and memorable, and I thought this would be the best one. I actually conceived the idea of taking this photo long before I even had a camera. I was watching my cats in the backyard when I noticed a cluster of roses growing over the fence from our neighbor's yard into ours, resting atop barbed wire. It was positioned so perfectly, and the more I looked at it, the more it reminded me of something. It reminded me of myself. I have many flaws—primarily my struggles with social anxiety. I'm very reclusive. The things I create, the things I love—I usually keep them to myself, and so all people get to see is a shell. But I know I'm more than that. I know I'm creative. I know I have something worth showing. I know I have value. I am that blooming rose, but the barbed wire obstructs me. I allow that barbed...

❮ ❯ I took these photos with my smartphone before I got a digital camera. No techniques, just me taking a photo of my cats. The Siamese is Lucy, and the tabby is Milo. Even though they don't have the quality or the techniques I would usually incorporate in the photos I've taken with a camera, they have this nostalgic charm to them. I always look back and aww at the sight of them—they were so small! My favorite photo out of all of them is the photo of Lucy napping on the beanbag; she just looks so cute and cozy. I love the warm color of the photo. The color of Lucy, the beanbag, and the door blend so beautifully. An honorable mention is the photo with Lucy and Milo curled up together—it reminds me of Yin and Yang.
